For me, I had to change the name of the install file to install.inf, and then go to mouse settings (once you right click install.inf in file explorer, it "sets" the theme as current but doesn't save it as an actual theme i think is the best way to describe it), open additional mouse settings, and then save it as a theme with all the correct cursors, and then finally click off and then click back on it to apply and actually change your cursor.

For some reason it was hard to actually apply it. I had to make a scheme and then replace that scheme with the vimix scheme files, because for some reason the Vimix Scheme itself was just default cursors.
