That's because you save the image and not the cursor file. Choose "Save Link As..." not "Save Image As..."

Damn man, you an internet newbie or something? No box pop up to tell you to save it? If you can't find it, maybe it's in your desktop. Use the windows search. Search for the name of cursor that you saved it as. Just save it as the same name which should be be "spe114.cur" and search for that name. Should come up.

Since you said you are using IE, when you save it, a box appears. At the top right hand corner there is something that says "Save In:" Click on it for a drop down menu. Choose "My Documents". That is if you are using Windows XP. On vista there should be some options on the side on where you can save it. As long as you know where you saved the cursor at, you can find it when you need to browse for the cursor when the Pointer popup box ask you when you try to change the mouse.

You can save it anywhere you want. Like my documents for example. Save it there and then when it ask you to find the cursor after you opened up the "pointers" box, look for the cursor that you downloaded into my documents.
